Description

Delightful dessert tacos filled with warm spiced apples and creamy cheesecake, wrapped in soft tortillas.


Ingredients

  • 2 large apples, peeled and diced
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 8 small flour or corn tortillas
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup chopped nuts (optional)
  • Caramel sauce (for drizzling)

Instructions

  1. In a skillet, combine diced apples, cinnamon, and sugar. Cook over medium heat for 5-7 minutes until apples are soft.
  2. In a mixing bowl, beat together softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  3. Warm tortillas in a skillet over low heat for 20-30 seconds on each side until pliable.
  4. Spread a layer of the cream cheese mixture on each tortilla.
  5. Add a spoonful of cooked apples on top of the cream cheese.
  6. Roll each tortilla up seam side down and place on a serving plate.
  7. Drizzle with caramel sauce and sprinkle with nuts if desired. Serve warm.
