Ingredients

- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 large egg
- 2 cups apples, peeled and diced
- Oil for frying
- Powdered sugar for dusting (optional)
Instructions
- In a large bowl, mix together the flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon until well blended.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the milk and egg.
- Combine the wet and dry ingredients until just combined, then gently fold in the diced apples.
- Heat oil in a deep fryer or large pot to 350°F (175°C).
- Drop tablespoon-sized amounts of the batter into the hot oil; fry a few at a time.
- Cook until golden brown on all sides, turning occasionally.
- Remove the fritters using a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels.
- Dust with powdered sugar before serving.
