- 1 box snickerdoodle cake mix
- 2 cans (21 oz each) apple pie filling
- 1 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- ½ teaspoon ground nutmeg
- ¼ cup chopped pecans (optional)
- Whipped cream or vanilla ice cream for serving (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Spread the apple pie filling evenly in the bottom of a 9×13-inch baking dish.
- Sprinkle the snickerdoodle cake mix evenly over the apples.
- In a small bowl, mix together cinnamon and nutmeg, then sprinkle over the cake mix.
- Drizzle melted butter evenly over the top of the mixture.
- Add chopped pecans on top if using for extra crunch.
- Bake for 45–50 minutes, until the top is golden brown and the filling is bubbly.
- Let the cake rest for 10 minutes before serving to allow the filling to set.
Notes
- Serve warm with ice cream or whipped cream for the ultimate comfort dessert.
- Chopped pecans can be omitted if not desired.
