Description

A cozy, warm dessert full of cinnamon spice, perfect for fall flavors.


Ingredients

  • 1 box snickerdoodle cake mix
  • 2 cans (21 oz each) apple pie filling
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • ½ teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • ¼ cup chopped pecans (optional)
  • Whipped cream or vanilla ice cream for serving (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Spread the apple pie filling evenly in the bottom of a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  3. Sprinkle the snickerdoodle cake mix evenly over the apples.
  4. In a small bowl, mix together cinnamon and nutmeg, then sprinkle over the cake mix.
  5. Drizzle melted butter evenly over the top of the mixture.
  6. Add chopped pecans on top if using for extra crunch.
  7. Bake for 45–50 minutes, until the top is golden brown and the filling is bubbly.
  8. Let the cake rest for 10 minutes before serving to allow the filling to set.
