Description

A rich and comforting BBQ Brisket Melt Sandwich layered with tender brisket, gooey cheese, and flavorful BBQ sauce, all grilled to golden perfection.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound brisket, cooked and shredded
  • 4 slices of sourdough or rye bread
  • 4 slices of cheese (cheddar or Swiss)
  • BBQ sauce to taste
  • Butter for grilling
  • Optional toppings: pickles, onions

Instructions

  1. Warm the brisket in a skillet over medium heat, combining with BBQ sauce until heated through.
  2. Butter one side of each slice of bread generously.
  3. On the unbuttered side of one slice, layer a portion of brisket, followed by two slices of cheese and any optional toppings.
  4. Top with another slice of bread, buttered side facing up. Repeat for remaining slices.
  5. Grill sandwiches in the skillet for 4-5 minutes per side, or until golden brown and the cheese has melted.
  6. Slice in half and serve immediately, with pickles or onions for garnish.

Notes

For best results, use day-old bread for extra crispiness. Prepare brisket and BBQ sauce the day before for quicker assembly.
