Description
Create beautiful beaded suncatchers that will brighten your space and add a touch of DIY charm.
Ingredients
- Twine
- Stick
- Ruler
- Scissors
- Plastic needle (optional)
- Pony beads (translucent and multi-color)
Instructions
- Prepare the base by cutting a piece of twine about 16 inches long. Tie the twine to each end of the stick to create a loop for hanging.
- Cut multiple pieces of string to a length of 12–18 inches each, adjusting based on how long you want your sun catcher to be.
- Thread the beads onto each string using the plastic needle. Leave a small section of string at the top for tying.
- Securely tie the ends of the bead-strung strings to the stick, spacing them evenly across the stick. Ensure the knots are tight so the strings don’t slip.
- Once you have attached the strings, trim off the extra thread and place the sun catcher where it will catch plenty of sunlight, such as a bright window or an outdoor space.
Notes
- You can customize the number and arrangement of beads for a unique design.
- Use different sizes of sticks for varied appearances.
- Consider adding charms or additional decorations for more flair.
