Ingredients
Scale
- Assorted blue crayons (light & dark shades)
- Pencil or crayon sharpener
- 2 sheets of waxed paper per suncatcher
- Iron (adult use only)
- Scissors
- Hole punch
- Embroidery floss or string (for hanging)
Instructions
- Remove all paper wrappers from the crayons.
- Use a sharpener to create a pile of blue crayon shavings, mixing different shades for depth.
- Lay one sheet of waxed paper flat on a protected surface.
- Sprinkle the crayon shavings evenly on the waxed paper, leaving a 1-inch border around the edges.
- Place the second sheet of waxed paper on top.
- Set your iron to low heat (no steam) and gently iron over the top sheet in circular motions until the crayon shavings melt.
- Let it cool completely before handling.
- Trace shapes like raindrops or clouds on the cooled waxed paper.
- Carefully cut out your shapes.
- Punch a hole at the top of each shape and thread embroidery floss or string through the hole to hang in a sunny window.
