Ingredients

- 1 cup buttermilk
- 1 large egg
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted

Instructions
- Prepare the Batter: In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt until well combined.
- Mix Wet Ingredients: In another bowl, whisk together the buttermilk, egg, and melted butter until smooth.
- Combine: Pour the wet mixture into the dry ingredients, stirring gently until just combined. The batter will be slightly lumpy; take care not to overmix!
- Heat the Skillet: Preheat a non-stick skillet or griddle over medium heat. Lightly grease with butter or oil.
