Ingredients
Scale
- 8 oz Mozzarella Cheese, cut into cubes
- 6 slices Cooked Bacon, crumbled
- 1 lb Ground Chicken
- 1/2 cup Buffalo Sauce
- 1 tsp Garlic Powder
- 1 tsp Onion Powder
- 1 tsp Paprika
- 1 tsp Salt
- 1/2 tsp Black Pepper
- 1 cup Plain Flour
- 2 large Eggs, beaten
- 1 cup Breadcrumbs (Panko recommended)
- 2 cups Vegetable Oil or Canola Oil
Instructions
- Prepare the filling: In a mixing bowl, combine ground chicken, crumbled bacon, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, black pepper, and buffalo sauce. Use your hands to mix until well combined.
- Form the bombs: Take a tablespoon of the chicken mixture and flatten it in your hand. Place a cheese cube in the center and fold the mixture around it, forming a ball.
- Set up your breading station: Roll each ball in flour, dip in beaten eggs, and coat with breadcrumbs.
- Heat the oil: In a deep fryer or heavy-bottomed pot, heat the oil to 350°F (175°C).
- Fry the bombs: Fry a few bombs at a time for about 4-5 minutes until golden-brown.
- Drain and serve: Use a slotted spoon to remove the bombs and let drain on paper towels. Serve hot with dipping sauces.
Notes
Make-ahead tips: Prepare the filling and shape the bombs a few hours in advance. Consider using an air fryer for a healthier option.
