Description

Delicious bars combining rich cheesecake, spiced apples, and gooey caramel on a buttery crust.


Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups graham cracker crumbs
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 (8 oz) packages cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 cups peeled and diced apples
  • 1 cup caramel sauce
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking pan.
  2. Combine the graham cracker crumbs, melted butter, and sugar in a medium bowl until mixed.
  3. Press the mixture firmly into the bottom of the greased pan.
  4. Beat the softened cream cheese in another bowl until smooth; gradually add sugar and mix until combined.
  5. Incorporate in the vanilla extract, then mix in the eggs one at a time.
  6. Fold in the diced apples and cinnamon, distributing evenly.
  7. Pour the mixture over the crust and smooth the top.
  8. Drizzle caramel sauce on top and swirl gently.
  9. Bake for 25-30 minutes, until edges are set and center is slightly jiggly.
  10. Cool completely, then refrigerate for at least 2 hours before slicing.
  11. Slice into squares and serve chilled or at room temperature.
