Description

This Cheddar Beer Bread combines the hoppy essence of beer with the rich flavors of sharp cheddar, offering a warm, soft, and delicious experience perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 12 ounces beer (pale ale or lager)
  • 1 cup sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a loaf pan with butter or non-stick spray.
  2. Combine the flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar in a large mixing bowl. Whisk until evenly mixed.
  3. Pour in the beer and mix until just combined; it’s okay if the batter is a bit lumpy.
  4. Fold in the shredded cheddar cheese gently.
  5. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and drizzle melted butter over the top.
  6. Bake for 45-50 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  7. Cool for a few minutes before slicing.

Notes

You can prepare the batter in advance and store it in the fridge overnight. An air fryer works for a quicker bake at 325°F (160°C) for 30-35 minutes.
