Description

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease your 9×13-inch baking pan.
  2. Cream together the softened butter and sugar in a large mixing bowl until light and fluffy.
  3. Beat in the eggs one at a time, ensuring each is well combined before adding the next, then blend in the vanilla extract.
  4. Whisk together the flour and salt in a separate bowl, then gradually incorporate this into the butter mixture.
  5. Spread 3 cups of the batter evenly across the bottom of the greased pan.
  6. Layer the cherry pie filling on top, spreading it gently over the batter.
  7. Drop small clumps of the remaining batter over the cherry layer.
  8. Bake for 35-40 minutes until the top is golden brown.
  9. Let the bars cool completely on a wire rack.
  10. Prepare the glaze by mixing powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract until smooth, then drizzle it over the cooled bars.
