Description

Deliciously soft and gooey Christmas Chocolate Chip Cookies that are perfect for the holiday season.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, room temperature
  • ½ cup firmly packed light brown sugar
  • 6 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 ½ cups semi-sweet chocolate chunks
  • 1 cup white chocolate chips
  • ½ cup red and green M&Ms
  • ⅓ cup red and green sprinkles

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F and line 2 baking sheets with parchment paper or spray with non-stick spray.
  2. In a medium bowl, sift or whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
  3. In a large bowl, use an electric mixer at medium speed to beat together the butter and sugars until smooth.
  4. Add the egg and vanilla, mixing on low speed until combined.
  5. Gradually add the flour mixture, mixing until just incorporated. Do not overmix.
  6. Add the chocolate chips and sprinkles, folding in the M&Ms gently without overmixing.
  7. Using an ice cream scoop or heaping tablespoon, drop dough onto the prepared baking sheets, spacing 6 to 8 per pan.
  8. Bake cookies one sheet at a time until bottoms and edges are lightly browned and tops feel firm, about 8-10 minutes for small cookies and 10-13 minutes for large cookies.
  9. Let cookies cool for 5 minutes on baking sheets, then transfer to wire racks to cool completely.
