Description

A creamy and crunchy festive dessert that layers brownie, cream cheese, and golden cookies for a holiday treat.


Ingredients

  • 1 box brownie mix (plus eggs, oil, and water as directed)
  • 16 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 8 oz whipped topping (thawed)
  • 18 golden sandwich cookies, finely crushed
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 8 oz whipped topping (for top layer)
  • 1 cup Christmas red and green M&M’s
  • 2 tablespoons red and white sprinkles (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven according to the instructions on the brownie mix box and prepare the batter as directed.
  2. Pour the brownie batter into a greased 9×13 inch baking pan and bake for 20-25 minutes. Allow to cool completely.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, beat softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth. Fold in 8 oz of whipped topping.
  4. Spread the cream cheese mixture over the cooled brownie base and chill in the refrigerator for 15 to 30 minutes.
  5. Mix crushed golden sandwich cookies with melted butter, then sprinkle over the cream cheese layer, pressing lightly.
  6. Spread the remaining whipped topping over the cookie layer to form a smooth top.
  7. Decorate with red and green M&M’s in a festive pattern and optionally pipe more whipped topping around the edges.
  8. Refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight to allow layers to meld.
