Description
Create your own magical Christmas snow globe jars filled with glittering holiday scenes!
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 clear mason jar with lid (any size)
- 1/2 cup distilled water
- 1/2 cup clear glycerin or clear baby oil
- Mini Christmas figurines (snowmen, Santa, reindeer, trees, etc.)
- Fine and chunky glitter (white, silver, gold, or iridescent)
- Waterproof glue or hot glue
- Optional: fake snow or small beads for extra texture
Instructions
- Prepare the Figurines: Glue mini Christmas decorations (trees, reindeer, Santa, etc.) to the inside of the jar lid. Let dry completely.
- Fill the Jar: Add equal parts distilled water and glycerin (or baby oil) into the jar. Stir gently. Add glitter and, if you’d like, fake snow beads for extra sparkle.
- Attach the Lid: Once figurines are dry, carefully screw the lid onto the jar upside down.
- Seal for Safety: Use hot glue or waterproof sealant around the edges of the lid to prevent leaks.
- Shake & Display: Turn the jar right-side up, shake gently, and watch the glitter “snow” swirl around your holiday scene!
Notes
- Choose figurines that fit the theme of your holiday décor.
- Fine glitter works well for a subtle snowfall, while chunky glitter adds a more festive touch.
- Ensure that all items are securely glued to avoid damage during shaking.
