Description

This Cinnamon Roll Apple Lasagna is the ultimate comfort-dessert mashup. Soft cinnamon rolls are stuffed with spiced apples, baked together into a pull-apart style “lasagna,” then finished with a sweet cream cheese drizzle and optional caramel sauce. It’s warm, gooey, and smells like a bakery while it bakes!

Ingredients

Scale

2 cups peeled and sliced apples (about 2 medium apples)

½ cup brown sugar

1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

¼ teaspoon nutmeg

¼ cup chopped pecans (optional)

Cinnamon Roll Base

2 (8-ounce) cans refrigerated cinnamon rolls

Cream Cheese Drizzle

1 cup cream cheese, softened

½ cup powdered sugar

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

¼ cup milk

Optional Topping

½ cup caramel sauce

Instructions

1️⃣ Preheat & Prep

Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.

2️⃣ Make the Apple Filling

In a medium bowl, combine sliced apples, brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and chopped pecans (if using). Mix well and set aside.

3️⃣ Fill the Cinnamon Rolls

Separate the cinnamon rolls and roll each one into a flat circle. Spoon a small amount of the apple mixture into the center of each roll. Fold the edges over the filling to create a sealed pocket.

4️⃣ Assemble

Arrange the filled cinnamon rolls snugly in the prepared baking dish, placing them close together to form layers.

5️⃣ Cream Cheese Drizzle

In a bowl, beat cream cheese, powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and milk until smooth and pourable. Drizzle evenly over the cinnamon rolls.

6️⃣ Bake

Bake uncovered for 25–30 minutes, until the cinnamon rolls are golden brown and cooked through.

7️⃣ Finish & Serve

Drizzle with caramel sauce if desired. Let cool for 5–10 minutes, then slice and serve warm.
