- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 2 large eggs

- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup powdered sugar (for frosting)

Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking pan.
- Cream the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar in a large bowl until smooth and fluffy.
- Mix in the eggs, sour cream, and vanilla extract until well combined.
- Combine in a separate bowl the flour, baking powder, baking soda, ground cinnamon, and salt.
- Bring together the dry ingredients with the wet mixture, folding until just combined.
- Spread the batter evenly into the prepared baking pan.
- Sprinkle a mix of cinnamon and sugar over the top of the batter.
- Bake for 25 to 30 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Cool completely before frosting with the mixture of powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla.
Notes
For a richer flavor, consider adding chopped nuts or cream cheese filling. Be mindful not to overmix the batter.
