Ingredients

Scale
  • 12 Coffee filters
  • Water
  • Liquid watercolour paint
  • Green pipe cleaner(s)

Instructions

  1. Gather your supplies and materials.
  2. Make a stack of two coffee filters, fold them in half repeatedly, and cut petal shapes from the top.
  3. Unfold the filters, snip to separate petals, and repeat for all filters.
  4. On a baking sheet, stack four coffee filters, mix liquid watercolour paint in a bowl, and use an eyedropper to color the filters.
  5. Allow to dry or bake. Repeat with all filters.
  6. Bend one end of a green pipe cleaner to form a ‘U’ shape and push the other end through a coffee filter.
  7. Glue around the pipe cleaner, scrunch the filter to form a ‘V’ shape, and hold until set.
  8. Continue adding coffee filters to the pipe cleaner, applying glue inside each new filter as you go.

Notes

  • Consider using multiple colors for a more vibrant look.
