Description

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease your two 9-inch round cake pans.
  2. Cream butter and sugar together until light and fluffy.
  3. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing thoroughly after each.
  4. Incorporate the milk and vanilla extract into the mixture.
  5. Combine the flour and baking powder in a separate bowl, then fold into the wet ingredients.
  6. Add cotton candy pieces and optional food coloring, folding gently.
  7. Pour the batter evenly into prepared pans and bake for 25-30 minutes.
  8. Cool in the pans for 10 minutes, then transfer to wire racks.
