Description
Craft a Pumpkin Suncatcher for a stunning fall decor project suitable for the whole family.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 sheet black cardstock or construction paper
- Wax paper
- Scissors
- Craft knife
- Double-sided tape
- Orange tissue paper
- School glue
Instructions
- Take your black cardstock and either draw a pumpkin shape or print a template. Use a craft knife to cut out the inside of the pumpkin, leaving the frame intact.
- Cut a piece of wax paper that is slightly larger than the pumpkin frame and tape it to the back using double-sided tape.
- Rip or cut small pieces of orange tissue paper.
- Apply school glue to the wax paper and place the tissue paper pieces on top, overlapping them as you go to create a cool mosaic look.
- Let your masterpiece dry completely before moving on.
- Hang your finished suncatcher in a sunny window to see it glow! You can make a hole at the top and string it up.
Notes
- Try different colored tissue paper to create different effects.
- Have a grown-up help with the craft knife part.
- Make a few of them and hang them together for a super festive window display!
