Description

A quick and delicious creamy garlic chicken thighs recipe that brings restaurant-style flavors to your home in just 30 minutes.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 bone-in, skin-on chicken thighs (About 2 lbs, pat them very dry)
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 6 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1/2 cup low sodium chicken broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley (chopped, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Pat the chicken thighs dry with paper towels and season with salt, black pepper, and garlic powder.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Sear the chicken thighs skin-side down for 6-8 minutes until golden brown and crispy.
  3. Flip the chicken thighs and cook for another 5-6 minutes until cooked through (internal temperature should reach 165°F). Remove from skillet and set aside.
  4. Reduce heat to medium, add butter to the skillet and let it melt. Add minced garlic and cook for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
  5. Pour in chicken broth and scrape up any browned bits. Simmer for 3-4 minutes.
  6. Stir in heavy cream and simmer for another 2-3 minutes until slightly thickened.
  7. Reduce heat to low and mix in Parmesan cheese until melted and smooth.
  8. Return the chicken thighs to the skillet, spooning sauce over them to coat. Garnish with parsley and serve immediately.

Notes

Serve with steamed vegetables, garlic mashed potatoes, or a fresh green salad. Pairs well with white wine.
