Description

Effortlessly simple and indulgently delicious, these Crockpot French Dip Sandwiches feature slow-cooked beef, gooey provolone, and savory au jus for dipping.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 pounds beef chuck roast
  • 1 packet onion soup mix
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • French rolls
  • Sliced provolone cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Place the beef chuck roast flat in your crockpot.
  2. Sprinkle the onion soup mix generously over the meat, then pour in the beef broth.
  3. Season with salt and pepper.
  4. Cover and cook on low for 8 hours, until fork-tender.
  5. Shred the beef with two forks.
  6. Assemble the sandwiches using the shredded beef and topped with slices of provolone cheese.
  7. Serve with warm au jus for dipping.

Notes

For best results, use fresh rolls and be sure to season generously. This recipe can be made a day in advance.
