Description

A refreshing herbal tea made from dandelion flowers that can be enjoyed hot or cold.


Ingredients

  • 12 cups fresh dandelion flowers (unsprayed, cleaned, and trimmed)
  • 2 cups water
  • Optional: honey, lemon, or mint for flavor
  • 1 tbsp dried dandelion root or dried leaves (if using option 2)
  • Optional: cinnamon stick, ginger slices, or lemon zest for added depth (if using option 2)

Instructions

  1. Gather 1–2 cups of dandelion flowers from a clean, pesticide-free area.
  2. Rinse them thoroughly and remove the green base to reduce bitterness.
  3. Bring 2 cups of water to a boil.
  4. Remove the pot from heat and add the cleaned flowers.
  5. Cover and let steep for 10–15 minutes.
  6. Strain the liquid into your cup.
  7. Add honey, lemon, or mint to taste and enjoy.
  1. Add 1 tbsp of dried dandelion root or leaves to a small pot with 2 cups of water.
  2. Bring to a gentle simmer.
  3. Let it simmer for 10–15 minutes.
  4. Strain into a mug.
  5. Optionally, flavor with lemon, honey, or even cinnamon or ginger slices.
