Description
Create beautiful suncatchers using blue crayons to add a touch of color to your space.
Ingredients
- Blue crayons (or any color you prefer)
- Parchment paper
- Wax paper
- Cheese grater or knife
- Iron (set to low heat)
- Scissors
- String or ribbon
- Hole punch (optional)
Instructions
- Remove the paper wrappers from the crayons.
- Grate or shave them into small pieces—the finer the shavings, the smoother they’ll melt.
- Lay a sheet of wax paper on a flat, heat-safe surface.
- Sprinkle the crayon shavings in your desired pattern.
- Place a second sheet of wax paper on top.
- Cover the wax paper with parchment paper.
- Using an iron on low heat, gently press in circular motions for 10-15 seconds per spot until the crayon melts.
- Let it cool completely before handling.
- Cut the melted crayon sheet into fun shapes.
- Punch a hole at the top and thread a string or ribbon through it.
- Hang in a sunny window and enjoy the colorful glow!
Notes
- This project can be done with any crayon color.
- Be careful when using the iron and work on a heat-safe surface.
