Description

A whimsical dessert perfect for Easter celebrations, featuring creamy layers and crunchy Oreo base, topped with colorful candy-coated chocolates.


Ingredients

  • 1 package (14 oz) Oreo cookies, crushed
  • 1 package (8 oz) cream cheese, softened
  • ¼ cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 package (3.4 oz) instant vanilla pudding mix
  • 2 cups cold milk
  • 1 container (8 oz) whipped topping (Cool Whip), thawed
  • 1 cup pastel-colored candy-coated chocolates (such as M&M’s)
  • ½ cup mini Oreo cookies

Instructions

  1. Crush the cookies in a food processor or with a rolling pin until fine crumbs form.
  2. Make the cream cheese mixture by beating softened cream cheese and butter together until smooth; then add powdered sugar.
  3. Prepare the pudding by whisking instant vanilla pudding mix with cold milk for 2 minutes until thickened.
  4. Combine the pudding with the cream cheese mixture and fold in the whipped topping until smooth.
  5. Assemble the dish by spreading half of the crushed Oreos in a 9×13-inch casserole dish, then layer with the creamy filling.
  6. Add the remaining crushed Oreos on top of the pudding layer, then decorate with candy-coated chocolates and mini Oreos.
  7. Chill in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours before serving.

Notes

This casserole can be prepared a day ahead for better flavor melding. For a frozen version, use an ice cream maker.
