- 2 tbsp cornstarch
- 1 tbsp white vinegar
- 1 tbsp unflavored gelatin
- Natural or food-safe coloring (as desired)
- Optional: fine glitter, flower petals, or tissue paper
- Non-stick surface (e.g., plastic sheet protector, silicone baking mat, or parchment paper)
- String or suction hook (for hanging)

- Heat the mixture over medium-low heat, stirring constantly until it thickens and becomes translucent (about 3-5 minutes).
- Divide the warm mixture into bowls and add desired coloring to each one.
- Pour thin layers of the colored mixture onto a non-stick surface, decorating with optional glitter or petals as desired.
- Allow the suncatchers to dry completely at room temperature (24-48 hours).
- Once dry, punch a hole at the top of each suncatcher and thread string or wire through to hang.
Notes
- Keep stirring the mixture to prevent burning.
- Experiment with different colors and decorations for unique designs.
- Drying time may vary depending on humidity and thickness of the suncatchers.
