- 4 skinless chicken breasts or thighs, boneless
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup chicken stock
- 4 tablespoons butter, divided
- 1 teaspoon dried parsley
- A pinch of salt and freshly ground black pepper
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- Optional: caramelized onions for garnish
- Optional: shredded Monterey Jack or cheddar cheese
Instructions
- Season the chicken with salt, black pepper, and paprika on both sides.
- Heat a large pan over medium heat, add 2 tablespoons of butter, and melt completely.
- Carefully place the seasoned chicken in the pan and cook for 5-6 minutes on each side until golden brown and fully cooked. Remove and set aside.
- In the same pan, melt the remaining 2 tablespoons of butter and add minced garlic. Cook for 30-60 seconds until fragrant.
- Pour in chicken stock and honey, scraping the bottom of the pan to incorporate the flavorful bits.
- Return the chicken to the pan and let it cook uncovered for 5-7 minutes, allowing the sauce to thicken.
- If desired, sprinkle shredded cheese on top and cover briefly to melt.
- Finish with dried parsley and optional caramelized onions on top. Serve and enjoy!
Notes
Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3-4 days. Reheat with a splash of chicken stock for moisture.
