Description

A delightful and easy recipe for tender and juicy chicken in a rich butter-infused sauce, perfect for family gatherings or cozy dinners.


Ingredients

  • 4 skinless chicken breasts or thighs, boneless
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup chicken stock
  • 4 tablespoons butter, divided
  • 1 teaspoon dried parsley
  • A pinch of salt and freshly ground black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • Optional: caramelized onions for garnish
  • Optional: shredded Monterey Jack or cheddar cheese

Instructions

  1. Season the chicken with salt, black pepper, and paprika on both sides.
  2. Heat a large pan over medium heat, add 2 tablespoons of butter, and melt completely.
  3. Carefully place the seasoned chicken in the pan and cook for 5-6 minutes on each side until golden brown and fully cooked. Remove and set aside.
  4. In the same pan, melt the remaining 2 tablespoons of butter and add minced garlic. Cook for 30-60 seconds until fragrant.
  5. Pour in chicken stock and honey, scraping the bottom of the pan to incorporate the flavorful bits.
  6. Return the chicken to the pan and let it cook uncovered for 5-7 minutes, allowing the sauce to thicken.
  7. If desired, sprinkle shredded cheese on top and cover briefly to melt.
  8. Finish with dried parsley and optional caramelized onions on top. Serve and enjoy!

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3-4 days. Reheat with a splash of chicken stock for moisture.
