Description

Create fun surprises by making fizzing hatching dino eggs with this easy recipe!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup Arm & Hammer Baking Soda per egg
  • 12 cups Vinegar (enough to dissolve the eggs)
  • Miniature dinosaur toys
  • Large bowls
  • 1/4 to 1/3 cup water per egg
  • Food coloring (any color)
  • Spray bottle for vinegar (optional)
  • Rubber gloves (optional)
  • Cookie sheet or tray for drying

Instructions

  1. Pour one cup of baking soda into a large bowl.
  2. In a separate cup, mix 1/4 to 1/3 cup of water with several drops of food coloring.
  3. Slowly add the colored water to the baking soda and mix until you form a moldable dough.
  4. Scoop a small amount of dough into your hand and place a miniature dinosaur toy in the center.
  5. Pack more baking soda dough around the toy and mold it into an egg shape.
  6. Repeat for each egg, and place them on a cookie sheet or tray lined with parchment paper or foil.

Notes

  • Use rubber gloves to avoid staining your hands with food coloring.
  • Ensure the toys are completely hidden inside the dough for better surprises.
  • This project is inexpensive and uses common household items.
