- 1 tablespoon cooking oil (olive or coconut oil)
- 1 1/8 cups granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line an 8×8-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
- Combine the hot melted butter in a large mixing bowl and whisk in the oil.
- Mix in the granulated sugar until blended and slightly glossy.
- Add the eggs one at a time, whisking after each addition, followed by the vanilla extract.
- Sift the flour, cocoa powder, and salt into a separate bowl; gently fold this mixture into the wet ingredients until just combined.
- Pour the batter into the prepared pan and spread evenly. Bake for about 25-30 minutes.
- Cool the brownies in the pan for a moment, then lift out using the parchment paper and cut into squares.
Notes
For a twist, add nuts or chocolate chips into the batter before baking.
