Description

Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon cooking oil (olive or coconut oil)
  • 1 1/8 cups granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line an 8×8-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
  2. Combine the hot melted butter in a large mixing bowl and whisk in the oil.
  3. Mix in the granulated sugar until blended and slightly glossy.
  4. Add the eggs one at a time, whisking after each addition, followed by the vanilla extract.
  5. Sift the flour, cocoa powder, and salt into a separate bowl; gently fold this mixture into the wet ingredients until just combined.
  6. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and spread evenly. Bake for about 25-30 minutes.
  7. Cool the brownies in the pan for a moment, then lift out using the parchment paper and cut into squares.

Notes

For a twist, add nuts or chocolate chips into the batter before baking.
