A fun and spooky dessert perfect for Halloween that combines vanilla pudding and whipped cream to create ghostly layers in a jar.

- 2 cups of vanilla pudding
- 1 cup of heavy whipping cream
- 1 tablespoon of powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
- 12 jars (small mason jars work well)
- Mini chocolate chips (for eyes)
- Edible glitter or sprinkles (for decoration)
- Candy corn or gummy worms (for added fun, optional)
Instructions
- Prepare the Pudding: Add the vanilla pudding to a large mixing bowl. Follow the instructions on the box, and prepare it according to the package directions. Set aside.
- Whip the Cream: In a separate bowl, whisk the heavy whipping cream with a hand mixer. Gradually add powdered sugar and vanilla extract while continuing to whip until soft peaks form.
- Layer the Ingredients: Take your jars and add a layer of prepared vanilla pudding to the bottom of each jar, filling them about halfway.
- Add Whipped Cream: Next, add a layer of whipped cream on top of the pudding, filling the jar to about three-quarters full.
- Create Ghost Faces: Use mini chocolate chips to create eyes on the whipped cream layer. Feel free to be creative with the designs!
- Decorate: Add a sprinkle of edible glitter or scrunch some sprinkles on top for that ghostly touch.
- Chill: Place the jars in the refrigerator to chill for at least one hour. This allows the flavors to meld and makes serving easy.
- Serve: Once you’re ready to indulge, take the jars out and enjoy your delicious Ghost in a Jar!
