Description

Create your own Glowing Moon Rocks, perfect for magical nighttime treasures.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups baking soda
  • 1 cup water
  • 1/4 cup glow-in-the-dark paint (or neon paint)
  • 1 tablespoon glitter (optional, for sparkle)
  • Mixing bowl and spoon
  • Tray lined with parchment paper
  • UV flashlight or bright light to charge the glow

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine baking soda, glow-in-the-dark paint, and water. Stir until you get a moldable, clay-like dough.
  2. Shape small handfuls of the dough into irregular “moon rock” shapes. Sprinkle glitter over the surface if desired.
  3. Place them on a tray lined with parchment paper and let air-dry overnight. For faster results, bake at 200°F (93°C) for 20–30 minutes.
  4. Place the rocks under a bright light or UV flashlight to charge, then turn off the lights to watch them glow like magical moon treasures!

Notes

  • For best results, use high-quality glow-in-the-dark paint.
  • Experiment with different shapes and sizes of moon rocks.
  • If using an oven, monitor closely to avoid overheating.
