Create a magical glowing rainbow thundercloud in a jar with this fun and colorful craft project.
Ingredients

- 1 clear glass jar or mason jar with lid
- Shaving cream (foam type, not gel)
- Water
- Neon or glow food coloring (pink, blue, yellow, green, purple)
- Pipettes or droppers
- Small cups or bowls (for colored water)
- UV black light (for glowing effect)
- Optional: glitter or glow-in-the-dark glitter
Instructions
- Begin by filling the clear glass jar 3/4 full with water. Leave the jar aside while you prepare the colored water.
- In small cups or bowls, mix a few drops of neon or glow food coloring with a small amount of water to create vibrant colors. You can use different cups for each color.
- Gently spray a generous amount of shaving cream on top of the water inside the jar, creating a fluffy ‘thundercloud.’ Make sure it covers the surface of the water completely.
- Take the pipettes or droppers and slowly drip the different colored water mixtures onto the shaving cream cloud. As you add the colors, watch as they seep through the cloud and create a beautiful stormy rainbow effect below.
- To enhance the visual experience, turn off the lights and shine a UV black light over your jar. The neon colors will illuminate, giving the appearance of lightning striking through the thundercloud.
- For an extra touch of magic, sprinkle a small amount of glitter or glow-in-the-dark glitter on top of the shaving cream cloud to add sparkle.
