- 4 slices sourdough or white bread
- Butter (for spreading on bread)
- 1/4 cup pizza sauce (more or less, to taste)
- 4 slices Canadian bacon
- 4 pineapple rings (canned or fresh, patted dry)
- 4 slices Cheddar cheese (or your favorite melting cheese)
Instructions
- Begin by buttering one side of each slice of bread generously.
- Pat dry the pineapple rings to prevent excess moisture.
- Preheat your griddle or skillet over medium heat.
- Place one slice of bread, butter side down, onto the hot griddle.
- Spread 2 tablespoons of pizza sauce on the unbuttered side.
- Layer two slices of Canadian bacon, two pineapple rings, and two slices of cheese atop the sauce.
- Top with another slice of bread, butter side up.
- Cook for 3–4 minutes until the bottom is golden brown.
- Flip carefully using your spatula; cook for an additional 3–4 minutes until the cheese melts.
- Remove from the pan, allow to cool slightly, cut and serve hot!
Notes
Storage: Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to two days. Reheat in a skillet over low heat.
