Description

A delightful dish combining shrimp, smoked sausage, and fresh broccoli in a sweet and savory honey garlic sauce, perfect for quick weeknight dinners or special occasions.


Ingredients

  • 300g (about 10 oz) large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 200g (about 7 oz) smoked sausage, sliced
  • 2 cups broccoli florets
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon sesame seeds (optional for garnish)
  • Fresh green onions, chopped for garnish

Instructions

  1. Heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. Add the sliced sausage and cook for 3-4 minutes until browned.
  3. Remove the sausage and set it aside.
  4. In the same skillet, add another tablespoon of olive oil.
  5. Toss in the shrimp and cook for 2-3 minutes until pink.
  6. Remove the shrimp and set it aside with the sausage.
  7. Add the broccoli florets to the skillet and stir-fry for 3-4 minutes.
  8. In a small bowl, whisk together honey, soy sauce, rice vinegar, minced garlic, and red pepper flakes.
  9. Pour the sauce into the skillet with broccoli and bring to a simmer.
  10. Return shrimp and sausage to the skillet and toss to coat in the sauce.
  11. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes, then garnish with sesame seeds and green onions before serving.

Notes

Prepare the sauce in advance to save time. You can customize the vegetables based on your preference.
