Description

A simple guide to making super bouncy balls at home using just a few ingredients.

Ingredients

Scale
  • ½ cup warm water
  • 1 tablespoon borax powder
  • 1 to 2 tablespoons clear Elmer’s glue (or glitter glue)
  • Optional: food coloring, glow-in-the-dark paint, or glitter

Instructions

  1. Pour ½ cup of warm water into a bowl.
  2. Stir in 1 tablespoon of borax powder until fully dissolved.
  3. Let the solution cool slightly.
  4. Slowly pour 1 to 2 tablespoons of glue into the borax solution.
  5. If using glitter or colored glue, now is the time to get creative!
  6. Use your hands to squeeze and shape the mixture into a ball.
  7. If the ball is too sticky, dip it back into the borax solution for a few seconds, then continue shaping.
  8. Set the ball aside for a few hours to dry. The longer it dries, the bouncier it will become!

Notes

  • Customize your bouncy ball with different colors and glitters.
  • The type of glue can affect the final texture and bounce of the ball.
  • Ensure to supervise younger children during the process due to borax.
