- 4 ripe bananas, sliced
- 1 box of chocolate pudding mix
- 2 cups milk
- 1 cup whipped cream
- 1 cup chocolate chip cookies, crushed
- 1/2 cup chocolate syrup
- 1/2 cup nuts (optional)
Instructions
- Whisk together the chocolate pudding mix with milk according to package instructions until smooth. Let it sit for a few minutes to thicken.
- Layer half of the sliced bananas at the bottom of your trifle dish, spreading them evenly across the base.
- Pour and spread half of the prepared chocolate pudding over the bananas.
- Sprinkle a layer of crushed chocolate chip cookies over the pudding.
- Drizzle with chocolate syrup, allowing it to seep into the layers.
- Repeat these layers with the remaining bananas, pudding, cookies, and chocolate syrup.
- Top everything with whipped cream, and sprinkle with nuts if desired.
- Refrigerate the assembled trifle for at least 1 hour before serving.
Notes
Can be prepared a day in advance for richer flavor. Avoid using overly ripe bananas and refrigerate to prevent mushiness.
