Description

Juicy pork chops with a golden crust and tender, flavorful interior, perfect for weeknight dinners.


Ingredients

  • 2 pork chops (1-inch thick)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Salt, to taste
  • Black pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Pat the pork chops dry with paper towels and season both sides with salt and pepper.
  2. Heat a cast iron skillet over medium-high heat and add the olive oil.
  3. Once hot, lay the pork chops in the pan and sear for 3-4 minutes until golden-brown.
  4. Flip the pork chops and sear the other side for another 3-4 minutes.
  5. Lower the heat to medium and cook for an additional 5-7 minutes, until the internal temperature reaches 145°F (63°C).
  6. Remove from skillet and let rest for 5 minutes before serving.

Notes

Let your pork chops sit at room temperature for 20-30 minutes before cooking for even cooking. Use an instant-read thermometer for best results.
