Description

A delectable blend of tender chicken breasts, rich barbecue sauce, and melted cheese, topped with crumbled bacon and fresh ingredients, perfect for any gathering.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup barbecue sauce
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (sharp cheddar or Monterey Jack)
  • 6 slices cooked bacon, crumbled
  • ½ cup diced tomatoes
  • ¼ cup sliced green onions
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

Instructions

  1. Preheat your grill or oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Season the chicken breasts generously with salt and pepper on both sides.
  3. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat and add the chicken breasts, cooking until golden brown (about 6-7 minutes on each side).
  4. Brush a generous layer of barbecue sauce over each chicken breast during the last few minutes of cooking.
  5. Sprinkle shredded cheese and crumbled bacon over the chicken, then cover to allow the cheese to melt (about 2-3 minutes).
  6. Remove from heat and top with diced tomatoes and green onions before serving.

Notes

Allow chicken to rest for 15 minutes room temperature before cooking for even cooking. Use a meat thermometer to check for doneness.
