Instructions
- In a large pot, bring the chicken broth to a boil and add the chicken pieces. Cook until the chicken is fully cooked, about 20 to 25 minutes. Remove the chicken, set aside to cool, then shred.
- In a bowl, mix the flour, baking powder, and salt.
- Stir in the melted butter and milk until a dough forms.
- Roll out the dough on a floured surface and cut it into flat strips.
- Drop the strips into the boiling broth, and add the shredded chicken back into the pot.
- Reduce heat and let it simmer for about 15 to 20 minutes, or until the dumplings are cooked through.
- Season with pepper and garnish with fresh parsley if desired before serving.
