Description

A fun and interactive craft for kids to create watermelon fans using paper plates and paint.


Ingredients

  • paper plates
  • large crafting sticks
  • masking tape
  • pink tempera paint
  • green tempera paint
  • black tempera paint
  • paintbrush
  • cotton swabs

Instructions

  1. Flip the paper plate over so the bottom is facing up.
  2. Have students paint the center of the plate with pink tempera paint.
  3. Paint the rim of the plate with green tempera paint.
  4. Allow the paint to dry completely.
  5. Using a cotton swab dipped in black tempera paint, add the seeds to the plate.
