- 1/2 cup cocoa powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder

- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup shredded coconut
- 1/4 cup pink food coloring
- 1 cup powdered sugar
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×9 inch baking pan.
- In a bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
- In a separate mixing bowl, beat the softened butter and sugar together until fluffy.
- Add the eggs one at a time, mixing thoroughly, then stir in the vanilla extract.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined.
- Spread the batter into the prepared baking pan evenly.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Let the cake cool completely in the pan.
- Mix shredded coconut with pink food coloring.
- Make icing by mixing powdered sugar with water or milk until desired consistency.
- Spread icing over cooled bars and sprinkle the pink coconut on top.
- Slice into bars and serve.
Notes
For added flavor, consider adding crushed nuts or using gluten-free flour. These bars can also be made in an air fryer.
