Description

Praline Chex Crunch is an ultra-crunchy, caramel-coated snack made from Chex cereal and whole pecans. It’s sweet, buttery, and addictive—a perfect treat for any occasion!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 6 cups Corn Chex (or Crispix)
  • 2 cups whole pecans
  • 1 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 cup packed brown sugar
  • ½ cup light corn syrup
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp baking soda

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 300°F (150°C) and line a large baking sheet with parchment.
  2. In a huge bowl, combine Corn Chex and whole pecans.
  3. In a saucepan, melt butter over medium heat, then add brown sugar, corn syrup, and salt. Stir until it comes to a gentle boil and cook for 3 minutes until glossy and thick.
  4. Remove from heat and stir in vanilla and baking soda (the mixture will foam).
  5. Pour the caramel over the Chex and pecans and gently fold to coat evenly.
  6. Spread the mixture onto the baking sheet and bake for 30 minutes, stirring halfway through.
  7. Let it cool completely, then break into clusters.
