  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar (or sugar-free alternative)

  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

  • For the Whipped Topping
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream (or dairy-free/coconut whipped topping)

  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar (optional)

  • For Garnish
  • Fresh berries (optional) — strawberries, raspberries, blueberries

  • Chocolate shavings or extra crumbled cake


  • Equipment
  • Mixing bowls

  • Electric mixer

  • Rubber spatula

  • Glass trifle dish or clear serving bowl


Instructions

1. Prepare the Cake

  • Bake the red velvet cake according to package instructions or your homemade recipe.

  • Allow the cake to cool completely, then cut into bite-sized cubes.


2. Make the Cheesecake Filling (≈ 2 minutes)

  • In a mixing bowl, beat:

    • cream cheese

    • powdered sugar

    • vanilla extract

  • Mix until smooth, creamy, and lump-free.


3. Whip the Cream (≈ 2 minutes)

  1. Chill your bowl and beaters for best results.

  2. Beat heavy cream until soft peaks form.

  3. Fold in powdered sugar if desired for added sweetness.


4. Assemble the Trifle ❤️🍰

In a glass dish, layer in this order:

  1. Red velvet cake cubes

  2. Cheesecake filling

  3. Whipped cream

Repeat layers until the dish is full, finishing with a fluffy swirl of whipped cream.


5. Garnish & Chill (≈ 1 hour)
