  • 1/2 cup mini chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Combine dry ingredients: whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt in a mixing bowl.
  3. Cream the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until fluffy.
  4. Incorporate the eggs one at a time, then add vanilla extract and red food coloring, mix well.
  5. Combine the dry ingredients with the wet mixture until just blended.
  6. Add hot cocoa mix, chocolate chips, and mini chocolate chips, folding in gently.
  7. Shape cookies by dropping mounds of dough on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  8. Bake for 10-12 minutes until edges are set.
  9. Cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
