Description
Beautifully layered dessert jars of chocolate fudge, cheesecake mousse, and a crunchy graham cracker crust, perfect for any celebration.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 1/2 cups graham cracker crumbs
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup sweetened condensed milk
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup heavy whipping cream, cold
- A few drops pastel blue gel food coloring
- 1 cup whipped cream (homemade or store-bought)
- Speckled candy-coated mini eggs
Instructions
- Prepare the crust: In a medium bowl, combine graham cracker crumbs and granulated sugar. Pour in the melted butter, stirring until all crumbs are well-coated. Press 2–3 tablespoons of this mixture firmly into the bottom of each jar. Chill the jars in the refrigerator to set the crust.
- Make the chocolate fudge layer: In a microwave-safe bowl, add the semi-sweet chocolate chips and sweetened condensed milk. Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring between each until the mixture is smooth and glossy. Stir in the vanilla extract. Spoon a generous layer over the crust in each jar, then return them to the refrigerator to firm up for about 15 minutes.
- Prepare the blue cheesecake mousse: Beat the softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract together until smooth. In another bowl, whip the cold heavy cream until stiff peaks form. Gently fold the whipped cream into the cream cheese mixture until light and fluffy. Add a few drops of the pastel blue food coloring and mix gently until you achieve your desired shade.
- Assemble the jars: Spoon or pipe the blue cheesecake mousse into each jar over the chocolate layer, filling them up to about three-quarters full. Place the jars back in the fridge for at least one hour or until ready to serve.
- Finishing touch: Just before serving, pipe adorable swirls of whipped cream on the top of each jar and finish with speckled candy-coated mini eggs.
Notes
Make-ahead tips: You can prepare the crust and fudge layer a day in advance. The mousse can also be made ahead; just keep it covered in the refrigerator.
