Description
Create beautiful marbled Christmas ornaments that add a personal touch to your holiday decor.
Ingredients
- Clear glass or plastic ball ornaments
- Acrylic paints (2–3 complementary colors)
- Small disposable cups or palettes
- Toothpick or skewer
- Optional: glitter or metallic paint
- Ribbon or string for hanging
Instructions
- Start by carefully removing the caps from your ornaments and setting them to the side.
- Pour a small amount of each chosen paint into a cup or palette, picking colors that speak to you.
- Drop the paint into the ornament, layering it as you’d like, creating a playful dance of colors.
- With a toothpick or skewer, gently swirl the paint inside to achieve a lovely marbled effect. If you’re feeling fancy, sprinkle in some glitter or add a touch of metallic paint for lovely sparkles.
- Shake the ornament gently to spread the pattern more evenly and remove any excess paint.
- Allow the ornament to dry completely, then replace the cap and add a ribbon or string for hanging. You can tilt and rotate the ornament while it dries to watch unique patterns emerge.
Notes
- This project is best done in a well-ventilated area.
- Feel free to experiment with different colors and techniques.
- Limit the size of paint layers to avoid overspill out of the ornament.
