A warm and comforting Slow Cooker Apple Crisp featuring tender apples topped with a crunchy, buttery mixture.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 6 cups sliced apples
  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/4 cup water

Instructions

  1. Layer the sliced apples in the bottom of the slow cooker.
  2. In a separate bowl, mix together the rolled oats, brown sugar, flour, cinnamon, nutmeg, and melted butter until crumbly.
  3. Spread the topping mixture over the apples in the slow cooker.
  4. Pour water around the edges of the slow cooker.
  5. Cover and cook on low for 4 to 5 hours until the apples are tender and the topping is golden brown.
  6. Serve warm, optionally with ice cream.

Notes

For best results, use a mixture of sweet and tart apples. Portion leftovers in an airtight container for up to 4 days or freeze for three months.
