Description

A nostalgic salad with a delightful combination of strawberries, marshmallows, and a creamy dressing, perfect for summer gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced
  • 1 cup mini marshmallows
  • 1 cup whipped topping (like Cool Whip)
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup crushed pineapple, drained
  • 1 cup pecans, chopped
  • 1 cup Rice Krispies cereal
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar (adjust to taste)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Prepare the strawberries by slicing them and setting them aside in a large bowl.
  2. Add the mini marshmallows and chopped pecans to the strawberries in the bowl.
  3. Pour in the drained crushed pineapple and fold gently.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the whipped topping, sour cream, sugar, and vanilla extract.
  5. Pour the creamy mix over the salad base and fold carefully.
  6. Cover the bowl and chill the salad for at least 120 minutes.
  7. Right before serving, gently fold in the Rice Krispies cereal.

Notes

Chill the salad for at least 2 hours for best flavor; add Rice Krispies just before serving to maintain crunchiness.
