Description

A delightful and creamy dessert combining sweet strawberries, a rich cake soaked in strawberry milk, and a crunchy Oreo topping that brings a taste of summer in every bite.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 White sheet cake (baked in a 9x13 dish)
  • 14 oz. can sweetened condensed milk
  • 12 oz. can evaporated milk
  • ½ cup whole milk
  • 3 oz. package strawberry jello (divided)
  • 8 oz. container of Cool Whip or frozen whipped topping (thawed)
  • 25 Golden Oreos (about 1 package)
  • ¼ cup salted butter (melted)
  • Fresh strawberries for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Prepare and bake the white cake according to the package instructions in your greased 9×13 glass baking dish. Allow to cool completely on a wire rack.
  3. In a saucepan over medium heat, combine evaporated milk with half of the strawberry gelatin powder. Stir until dissolved and let cool slightly.
  4. Stir in the sweetened condensed milk and whole milk until well combined.
  5. Poke holes all over the cooled cake with a bamboo skewer or the handle of a wooden spoon.
  6. Pour the strawberry milk mixture over the cake and cover with plastic wrap. Refrigerate for at least one hour.
  7. Spread the Cool Whip over the chilled cake.
  8. Crush the Golden Oreos and combine with melted butter and remaining strawberry gelatin powder.
  9. Sprinkle the cookie mixture over the Cool Whip layer and gently press down.
  10. Serve chilled with more Cool Whip and fresh strawberries if desired.

Notes

This cake can be made a day in advance to enhance flavors. Ensure it cools completely before adding the soaking liquid.
