Description
A delicious and creamy stuffed seafood bread bowl filled with shrimp, crab, and scallops in a cheesy sauce.

- 1 large round crusty bread loaf (such as sourdough or artisan style)
- 225 grams peeled and deveined shrimp
- 120 grams crab meat
- 120 grams scallops
- 28 grams unsalted butter
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 shallot, finely chopped
- 120 milliliters heavy cream
- 56 grams cream cheese
- 60 milliliters grated Parmesan cheese
- 120 milliliters shredded mozzarella cheese
- 15 milliliters lemon juice
- 8 grams chopped fresh parsley
- Salt and black pepper, to taste
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 190°C.
- Slice off the top of the bread loaf and hollow out the interior, reserving the bread. Toast the hollowed loaf in the oven for 8 to 10 minutes until lightly crisp.
- Melt butter in a skillet over medium heat. Add garlic and shallot; sauté until fragrant and translucent.
- Add shrimp and scallops to the skillet, cooking until just opaque. Incorporate the crab meat and heat until warmed through.
- Reduce heat. Pour in heavy cream, then add cream cheese, lemon juice, salt, and pepper. Stir continuously until the mixture is smooth.
- Stir in half of the Parmesan and mozzarella cheese, mixing until just melted.
- Fill the toasted bread bowl with the seafood and sauce mixture. Sprinkle remaining Parmesan and mozzarella over the top.
- Place the filled bread bowl on a baking tray and bake for 12 to 15 minutes, until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
- Remove from the oven, garnish generously with chopped fresh parsley, and serve immediately while hot.
Notes
- Feel free to customize the seafood according to your preference.
- For an extra kick, add some red pepper flakes to the sauce.
- This dish is best served fresh from the oven.
