Description
A fun and easy way to make super bouncy balls at home using simple ingredients.
Ingredients
Scale
- ½ cup warm water
- 1 tablespoon borax powder
- 2 tablespoons white school glue
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- Food coloring (optional)
- Two small bowls
- A spoon or craft stick
Instructions
- In the first bowl, pour the warm water and stir in the borax until dissolved.
- In the second bowl, mix glue, cornstarch, and a few drops of food coloring (if using).
- Pour approximately 1 tablespoon of the borax solution into the glue mixture and stir quickly. You’ll see it start to thicken.
- As it firms, take it out and roll/squeeze between your palms to form a ball. After about 30 seconds, you’ll get a proper little bouncy ball.
- Once it’s no longer sticky and feels ball-like, test by dropping it on a hard surface. If done well, it should bounce.
Notes
- Make sure the water is warm but not hot to help dissolve the borax.
- Experiment with different food coloring to create various ball colors.
